I'm so happy to have you here!
My intention with my blog and podcast is to provide you with inspiration, overcome self-doubt, comparison and any feelings of helplessness so that you can embrace your authentic self.
My podcast was created to provide regular positive vibes and motivation on helping you live your best life by giving you an insight into mine. Look out for a variety of content: mindset tips, my spiritual practices, book reviews, meditation recommendations and lots more.
What's your story?
I've always had an interest in the more, shall we say, ‘woo-woo’ side of life. I started blogging in university when I had spare time while studying for my English Language and Literature degree. I primarily wrote about beauty and fashion as that's what everyone else was doing at the time. Since then my interests have evolved to the less material things in life, such as human consciousness, energy healing and Human Design profiles.
My engagement with spirituality has helped me in many areas of my life. To name a few, I have:
Lost a significant amount of weight
Strengthened my self-worth
Dealt with losing my beloved puppy Teddy very suddenly
Attracted my dream job (at the time)
Made a group of friends who share similar values to me
I used to spend a lot of time reading and learning from other people on how to ‘live my best life’ and while the tools I’ve learnt have been extremely beneficial, I’ve come to realise that we really do have all of the answers inside of us already. What we need is more space and stillness, not more information. Our beliefs shape our reality and our outer world is simply a reflection of our inner world. Once you can grasp this (and I mean really grasp it) then you’ll realise that there’s no need to ever look outside of yourself to feel fulfilled.
Speaking of looking for external validation, as a twenty-something woman, I’ve grown up with the rise of social media and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t cause me a lot of anxiety in the past. I can’t be the only one, am I right?! My last job role was in social media too so I would spend most of my day on it which I found particularly draining. Instagram in particular I felt would zap my energy and I’d waste so much time on it wishing I was living the lives of other women who I deemed more pretty/successful than myself. I used to be hard on myself for not being able to have a balanced relationship with it.
Eventually, I valued my peace of mind enough to realise that I needed a good social media detox and now have cultivated a much better relationship with it. Creating the extra mental space in my life has allowed for my creativity to flow and the connection with my intuition has become stronger. Each day my focus is on being present, taking my next aligned action and being unapologetically me.
By finally implementing all the content that I’ve been consuming over the past few years in the self-development genre, I am happier than I’ve ever been and I want to help others feel this way too. This led me to decide to become a certified life coach in 2019 with The Clique Academy so I can hone my skills even more.
My podcast and coaching is designed to share what I’ve learnt about self-worth and receiving abundance from the universe. Perfection certainly doesn’t exist, I’m still on my journey as we all are, but my life is very different to how it used to be.
In order to offer you the best advice I can, I continually look to expand on my limits. A few of my favourite mentors and sources of inspiration include: Oprah Winfrey (obvs), Jess Lively, Leticia Ringe, Kelly Trach, Jen Sincero, Aaron Doughty and the works of Eckhart Tolle and Abraham Hicks.
Words I live by:
It starts with you
